Bonnie Knight is a Sound Engineer, Record Producer and Composer and one of the most innovative up-and-coming forces in Australian music, working behind the scenes on some of the country’s best independent music releases. In 2021, they lent their engineering gifts to the acclaimed ARIA award winning Amyl and the Sniffers album ‘Comfort To Me’.

Bonnie gravitated towards production and engineering early on. They grew up in a musical household surrounded by home recording equipment, and played in bands as a teenager and throughout their early 20s. After high school, they studied sound production, discovering a passion for the intricacies of recording and producing. During this period, they began to mix live shows travelling the globe as a FOH and Monitors engineer for a range of revered artists.

Bonnie is now focusing predominantly on studio production, their multifaceted skill set allows them to seamlessly blend the technical and artistic aspects of sound and their work within the studio is wide-ranging and not defined by genre. Bonnie mostly works out of their studio in Collingwood, Naarm/Melbourne.

Bonnie was recently one of the inaugural recipients of the APRA-AMCOS-backed 4000 Talents Residency, which saw Bonnie take up residence at the Meanjin-based studio and receive mentorship for a month.
